Heckle Me This

Whoever was worried about Tiger getting heckled at this event for his selfish and reckless behavior off the course, needn't have been. During the week, every good shot he hit was cheered. Every missed putt was moaned over. His fans remain as interested as ever in seeing him play well.

Golf crowds generally demand decorum and are self-policing. Any heckler would have been shushed and/or booed.

One female Aronimink member had the chance to let Tiger know what she thinks of him (and it isn't much) when he hit an errant drive just a few feet away from her.

She was standing there with her husband when Tiger arrived at his ball. Having listening to his wife for months go on about what a dog Tiger is, the husband elbowed her as if to say "Now's your chance."

The woman, however, demurred.

But she was pleased that the Greatest Golfer in the World got a terrible lie in the rough and ended up giving his own golf bag a good swift kick in frustration.

Meanwhile, off the premises, a young woman at the corner of Route 252 and Goshen road could be seen holding up a sign for the tournament bound:

MORE MISTRESSES THAN MAJORS.

But when you think about it, that statement could be accurately applied to at least half the players on tour. It's just Tiger has a lot more majors than most.

Justin Time

Justin Rose has a four-shot lead at Aronimink. Last week he blew a three-shot lead at Hartford to lose. The week before he came from four back to win at the Memorial. Here's what he had to say about those experiences when he came off the course yesterday.

Q. Can you talk about last week going into the final round, what your mindset was? Second part, you seem to be very relaxed, put it all behind you.

JUSTIN ROSE: Yeah, I mean, I felt like I was a better player Monday after Hartford than going into Sunday because I felt like I learned a couple things.

It's funny, having just won a golf tournament, I hadn't actually been in contention it felt like I hadn't been in contention that much, even though I just won. I had the confidence of winning and that made the pill easier to swallow. But the more times you are in contention, the easier it does become.

I think Hartford, playing with a lead, it's the first time I've done that for a long, long time, so I faced some different emotions. The back nine at the Memorial I knew I had the lead, and I closed it out really nicely, and I was committed to my shots, continued to stay really free, so I know I can do it.

But just Hartford felt like a long, long week, just starting the way I did, getting out of the blocks quickly, and you know what, my game actually wasn't that good at Hartford, believe it or not. I feel like I'm a lot more comfortable with a lot more aspects of my game this week.

But then obviously mentally, I felt like I was mentally pretty good on Sunday, just sort of physically I felt a little bit tight. I was doing all the right things; my body just wasn't with me, as well.

So going into tomorrow, yeah, I guess just the challenge is to continue to be as loose as possible and free, you know what I mean?

You've got to love his chances today.

Just get the id number in pink border and replace in the above code.And you have done now and just save your template.Now you will be able to see the reply button in each blogger comments.

Now Some customization to reply button.

Some users will like to want to keep reply button instead of text [reply].So just replace [Reply] in red in above codes with below image link and you will get reply image instead of that text.

Just to have your own image change the image link with yours to have your own image.

Advantages

As now your readers just need to hit the reply button to any particular comment and a pop window will open like below and just need to write comment there and publish it.As it will make comments publish fast and easily.

Just type your comment after the text written in window above and publish it.

Comparison To Wordpress

As in Wordpress when doing comments using reply button, the comment get publish after the comment u replied to but in this hack the comment get publish as usual in last as blogger does, not like wordpress :)

But still i feel many will like this for sure to make look here blogger comment system look good and making easy for readers o reply.

Going Fourth

Happy Fourth of July to all Gil's loyal blog crew.

While our fearless leader is sucking up to the golfing elite at Aronimink, let's make a plan for the rest of us.

Who is going to join me at Scott's Fourth of July parade in Rutledge? This is the year we were all promised Anon-she-ano would ride his decorated bike in the parade. Nobody wants to miss this liberal legend revealing himself (hat tip to Steve).
Maybe we can even get Scott to introduce his Dobermans to Anon. Either the dogs or the armory, both would be outstanding entertainment.

It's July 2nd...Time for the Orioles to Sign Some Talent

It's the start of the Latin American signing season and it's time for the Orioles to make some noise. They have spent the last two seasons accumulating bodies (enough to have two full teams in the DSL this summer) and now they need to add some top tier talent. There were whispers back in May that the Orioles were set to make some noise this signing season but there has been little heard from them recently.

I don't know much about the top prospects, only what I read in Baseball America. Here's the list of the top 33 players in Latin America eligible for signing.

Which guy do I like? The guy with the most power, of course. From Baseball America:

Elvis Sanchez, 3B

Sanchez, who is from La Romana, is one of the best power hitters in Latin America. After traveling to the United States in October for the World Wood Bat Championship in Jupiter, Fla., Sanchez has worked out for teams in the U.S. this spring and made an impression in front of a hoard of scouts at the La Academia complex on June 15 by hitting a home run into the wind over the left-center field fence. He has plus to plus-plus raw power that comes from his strength and bat speed, though his stroke can get long and he has a tendency to try to muscle-up the ball with his swing....

Of course, ultimately I don't care who they sign. But they should get in here and sign at least one of these top 33 guys. But they have been linked to no one. Also from Baseball America:

Baltimore Orioles: The Orioles haven't had much success funneling international talent to Baltimore, and their farm system is lacking in Latin American talent. There are signals they're increasing their international presence, and the club was high on Dominican shortstop Miguel Sano last year but couldn't get him signed. Baltimore could make a surprise move for a top player this year, but in a down year it might wait until a much better 2011 class to make a strike.

While it's true that it is considered a bit of a down year, couldn't that be a chance for the Orioles to get in here and pick up a bargain? A few teams aren't doing anything in Latin America this year. There should be less competition for the top guys this season.

Of course, the revelation that several of the top prospects in Latin America have tested positive for steroids may reduce the available pool. Scouting in Latin America is a dicey business that is difficult to navigate...
