The Phillies are hitting like they are facing their own Roy Halladay every day. On one night last week Halladay was "perfect." The Phillies bats have been perfectly awful for more than a week.
This is nothing more than your typical slump. Atypical for the length of time it has lasted for hitters this good, but typical none the less. But better it comes now in the first half of the season than in the more important second half. The Phils have dropped out of first place. Big deal. It's June 1st, not even summer yet.
Meanwhile the (O-2) Flyers have the Blackhawks right where they want them.
