Monogram Cakes! Love them, they take center stage on your big day and why not use this opportunity to use your new initial you are going to share with your hubby ;) From modern, fab to classic and chic there are so many ways you can play with this great theme.
Breaking the monogram language down: Are you wondering why some monograms have one initial while others have two or three? Well here is the low down... You may use two initials before the wedding. They are made up of the brides first name and the grooms first name. For example, Mary and John would be M&J. After they say "I do" they can use the one or three letter monogram. For one letter monograms the initial represents the couple's last name that they are now sharing for the first time. Or they can choose to combine the first letter of their first name with their last name being in the center. So, if Mary marries John and their new last name will be Smith their new monogram will be MSJ. Therefore, your invitations should only have the two letter monogram and should not have the three or the one letter monogram but your wedding programs, menus and cakes can. Got it ;)
