Elegant Real Wedding in Connecticut by Robin Dini Photography

Courtney and Evan’s wedding events took place in the town of Stamford, Connecticut, which is where the bride's family resides. The church where the couple was married, Saint Cecilia Parish, holds very strong sentimental and emotional history for Courtney as her grandparents were married there years ago. Courtney and Evan chose to do a first look prior to the ceremony as well as portraits with their families and bridal party. It was an incredibly hot day but both took the heat in stride and enjoyed being photographed. Their ceremony was somber and beautiful as the minister from Courtney’s childhood officiated. After a full mass, guests were received at Madonia Restaurant, owned by a family friend, which was decorated from top to body with elegant lighting, delicate flower arrangements and cozy candle light. Guests enjoyed signature drinks and cigars during cocktail hour, followed by introductions, first dance, and toasts to the newlywed couple. After the cake cutting, the night continued with the hum of talk and laughter as guests wined and dined and enjoyed music and dance.

LOVE!

New York Real Wedding | Joanna & Jan's Wedding photography by Tessie Reveliotis Photography

How fun is this wedding photographed beautifully by Tessie Reveliotis Photography?!
I love that the couple thought of running into a subway station to take some of their photos, so cute!
What do you think, will you be including more of the city in your real New York Wedding?

Rock the Dress Films | Real wedding Video taken after the wedding day by New York Film Works

So you probably have heard of "trash the dress" photo sessions where brides are photographed the day after in their wedding dresses and either jump into water or sometimes rolling in grass just really enjoying themselves as they "trash" their dresses as the photographer captures it all on film. But now... there is also New York Film Works that actually tells a story and beautifully films your day after session. They call it "Rock the Dress NYC Films". And today I am sharing one of their film sessions.

Stylish and gorgeous bride and groom, Ginger and Ilya wed in NYC, this is a day after video session.   Super stylish, vintage and very much like a commercial, this Black and White film is set to the perfect French song and follows the couple as they walk, dance and romantically stride through NYC . They ended the night with them jumping, in full wedding attire, into the fountain of Washington Square Park.
It's really quite stunning and beautifully shot!

Enjoy!

New York Real Wedding | Beautiful Wedding in Mohonk

Today we are featuring an amazingly stunning New Paltz, New York wedding that was beautifully photographed by The Lovely Lens. The couple, Daria and Lukasz, were adorably humble, low-maintenance, and utterly head-over-heels for each other. Their friendly Polish families and wedding venue, Mohonk Mountain House, with breathtaking gardens and surrounding landscapes made for a stunning fall wedding. I love all the details in mauve and eggplants!

Also, check out the couples fabulous wedding cake. I love all the crystal embellishments, talk about glam ;) What do you think? Are you falling for this inspiring hue?

NYC Real Wedding at The Plaza | Featuring Lela New York Luxury Wedding Invitations | Plus an Interview with the Bride

This is an absolutely beautiful NYC real wedding at The Plaza featuring a luxury wedding invitation designed by Lela New York. I am loving the gold, ivory and white color scheme seen in the invitations and throughout the wedding details. These hues create such an elegant and chic look. Be sure to check out their wedding cake...isn't it so pretty? Thanks to NY's Hechler Photographers for such great shots! Also, be sure to take a look at a conversation with the bride below!

L: So Alana, how did Stephen pop the question?
A: Christmas Morning at his parents home in Westchester.

L: Who were some of your vendors?
A: Photographer: Harold Hechler Photography
Luxury Wedding Invitations & Stationery by Lela New York
video:Harold Hechler
florist:Stefan Event Decor Floral Design
Cake: Sylvia Weinstock
Wedding Dress:Francesco Fino- Milano
Hair: Julien Farel Salon - Elvin Arvelo
Makeup: Georgio Fernandez - Lady Lash Salon, Delray Florida ( I flew him up)
Band: Hank Lane - Michael Hart Band

L: After all the stressful planning, what would you say was your favorite part of your wedding day?
A: We were going to have pictures before the church. So the photographers planned a special moment where he would see me for the first time. We had a moment just us.

L: Are there any other special moments you would like to share?
A: My husband and I took dance lessons for seven months before the wedding. So besides performing our first dance I changed half way through the reception and we performed a Tango for our guests. They were so surprised they did not even know it was me at first.
Another special moment was at the end when the band played the song New York, New York and my guests got in a circle and started doing an impromptu kick line with us in the middle. It was the perfect ending to a New York Fairy Tale Wedding.

L: Looking back upon all the months of planning and your wedding day, do you have any advice for future brides?
A: As much planning and prepping you do before hand you have to let everything go the day of. It will all work out. You need to spend your wedding day in the moment because it goes by so fast.

Real Wedding Color Inspiration | Navy & Blue Hues

Hi all! This week we wanted to share with you color inspiration from real weddings. Today we will start with navy and blue hues. Blues are such classic colors that offer an exciting contrast next to ivories and white. Plus, you will be able to have "something blue" in your wedding, with bridal accessories and jewelry, hints of blue in your bouquet or maybe a bouquet wrap like the one below! Also, Blue and navy hues paired with silvers and golds make the perfect palette for fall and winter weddings. I am loving the Zuhair Murad dress, and make sure to check out the cake! It looks equally beautiful and delicious! Happy Monday!

Real Day After Wedding Photo Shoot | Happy Halloween!

In light of Halloween, we just had to share this chilling day after wedding photo shoot, taken place at the Sterling Opera House in Derby, CT shot by the amazing Maler Photography. This is such beautiful shoot.  I love the deep purples and ivories the couple chose, the complement the style of the venue so well, well maintaining a very classic and elegant look. Photographers Michael & Marcie say that they "will never forget the feeling we had walking into the Sterling Opera House...the air was cold, crisp..." Being around 122 years old, most who have stepped foot into the old opera house, say that they have seen and experienced things they can't quite explain!! What do you think? Do you believe in ghosts?! If you are doubting, be sure to check out the video of the shoot below...but don't get too scared ;) Happy Halloween!
