Prints and color block

I really like this Vogue Mexico editorial,the solid colors of the backgrounds exalt the beautiful patterned dresses worn by Crystal Renn. The photoshoot is a tribute to the mexican artist Frida Kahlo.The styling is a mix between a traditional look and the spring trends in fact different prints are put together and colors are vivid. Vogue Mexico ricorda Frida Kalho nell'editoriale di aprile. La pittrice messicana è interpretata da Crystal Renn. In queste foto gli sfondi colorati esaltano le stampe floreali sapientemente mescolate a colori sgargianti. Lo styling segue quindi i trend di stagione anche se il risultato ha un sapore molto tradizionale e regionale. The Vogue Issue

Today i would like to bring to your attention the lasted editorials by Vogue.These pictures are like a slap in the face.
Watching them i can't stop thinking:did we need this? Is this art?Is this a way to sell fashion?
Of course they want cause a reaction in the viewer but can it be a provocation without a meaning behind,without a message to deliver? In my opinion these pictures are an end in themselves,i miss the point of view of these editorials.
In the first shooting there are childs dressed like womens,in the second extreme plastic surgery,in the third binge eating.
In the last two editorials the model is Crystal Renn, plus size model. I feel like they don't like this girl.In the first pictures her face is completely photoshopped,in the last one she eats compulsively.
What did you think after watching these pics?What is the message they want to deliver?
Would you buy dresses and accessories from these pictures?



Ecco a voi un assaggio degli ultimi editoriali firmati Vogue.Queste foto sono molto forti, anzi sono uno schiaffo in piena faccia.
Ma cosa sono queste foto?E' arte?E' il modo giusto di vendere moda?
Ovviamente puntano a creare una forte reazione in chi le guarda,ma sono solo una provocazione fino a sè stessa?Cosa ci dicono oltre la sensazione di confusione e repulsione che si prova guardandole?
Gli argomenti trattati sono:bambine vestite da donne, chirurgia plastica estrema e bulimia.
Quello che non comprendo è il punto di vista del servizio, quello che ci vuole dire.
Nei ultimi due editoriali la protagonista è Crystal Renn la modella formosa più famosa in questi servizi viene messa più volte a dura prova.Nelle prime foto è irriconoscibile per quanto i suoi lineamenti vengono modificati dal photoshop, nell'ultima è bulimica e mangia ossessivamente.
