Fashion DIY ideas starring the american flag

Today for the 4th of July anniversary we can craft something inspired by the american flag! I have to admit that both the american flag and the UK one are very fashionable,it will be too difficult to think dresses and accessories based on the italian flag: who thought that bright green and red could go along together? It's so obivious that our flag wasn't designed by a woman or a gay man,now i understand why men always choose blue and hardly move from that!
What diy projects we can do with the american flag? here's some ideas:

some pieces of the flag cut and sewn over a pair of trousers

the flag painted over a piece of cloth with fabric colors (available even as drawing pen)

 flag nails

Sewing lovers who may want to craft more difficult projects can use the flag as a fabric to craft tote bags or even shirts and blouses.

these last two pics are from tthe 2010 Zanotti collection "American flag",aren't these shoes amazing? I really want to try to diy them.

DIY idea: cut out details

 Versus Versace dress

Cut out dresses can be tricky: if we don't have a perfect slim body (who has it anyway) cut out details can be windows over defects or "soft" areas of the body (do you like it? soft areas doesn't sounds so self-esteem destructive as rolls of fat, isn't it?). This Versus dress has a brilliant design, the cut out detail is on the slimmest part of the bust and it's a sexy detail without reveal too much, definitely something we can copy over a lbd!

Top ranking celebrities weddings

This year has been a very special one when it comes to expensive weddings. We know Kate Middlelton lead off the dance wearing a McQueen gown (it's just my opinion or she completed ruled the press leaving prince William in the background?) then was the turn of Kate Moss in Galliano and Charlene Wittstock in Armani Privè who married price Albert of Monaco. They have been very different brides and the dresses they chose i think they reflect their personality. Kate Moss is always against the current choosing Galliano who has been abandoned by everyone during these months. The dress is daring and leaves the legs exposed but i find it very romantic and somehow hippy;i love all those gold details and random crystals. Kate Middleton chose McQueen, her dress is classical, a lot more classical than everyone would expect from McQueen label, maybe her directions have guided Sarah Burton in the design process. Charlene wore a very elegant Armani Privè dress with the longest train and it took 2,500 hours of work,40,000 Swarovski crystals,20,000 mother of pearl teardrops,30,000 stones in gold shades,3,000 kilometres of travel for fittings in Montecarlo,700 hours of work for the embroidery“kilometres” of embroidery thread coated in platinum,50 meters of silk duchesse,80 meters of silk organza, for the veil: 20 meters of silk tulle, 100 hours of work for the embroidery, sorry i had to write down these numbers because they really impressive! The fact is the dress has an effortless elegance and know we know how "effortless" it is,it's couture for sure. What do you think of these brides? What's your favorite? What dress would you wear?

Just Plane Crazy

[Posted By Jake]

Our President is made of such stern stuff. When called out by the Republicans for his failed leadership on tax cutting, he responded with... a press conference. Why bother to actually do something constructive when you can instead lecture the unwashed masses? You could just hear all the liberal frauds and pretenders shouting "you go girl" as Barack tried to revive his faltering approval ratings with yet another virtuoso performance of finger-pointing and class warfare.

He questioned the diligence of Congress, congratulated himself on his own work ethic, misstated his daughter's birthday, and condemned no less than six times the corporate jet stimulus he previously endorsed. It was a mouthful of misrepresentation that only our narcissist-in-chief would have the temerity to attempt.

So exhausting was this exercise in political pandering that he immediately jetted out of town for a Democrat fundraiser, right here in Philadelphia. The irony of the regular availability of Air Force One for his re-election campaign, versus those corporate jets he was denouncing, somehow was lost on the towering intellect of our fearless leader.

While Congress was challenged to stay in Washington and keep working, our hypocritical President will be enjoying another in a long line of family vacations, this time a leisurely July 4th holiday at Camp David. There he will be celebrating his daughter Malia's real 13th birthday, despite the press conference announcement otherwise.

Can you imagine the self-righteous howling from the liberal thought police had any Republican dared appropriate his daughter's teenage milestone for partisan purposes, and then get it wrong? How about criticizing his own stimulus incentive? Disregard the fact that the tax break for corporate jets was the centerpiece of his argument labeling Republicans as out of touch with the common man. You know, out of touch like forgetting your daughter's age.

This particular tax break is only worth $300 million a year, versus the billions in out-of control spending the Democrats refuse to cut. Here's an idea -- if the corporate jet tax incentive so riles our President, all he has to do is curtail the First Family's vacations and his record-breaking rounds of golf, and that money could be made up in no time. Does anybody expect that reasonable and appropriate "shared sacrifice" from Team Obama anytime soon?
