Late last night, the following tweet went out from Zach Britton's Twitter account:
I blocked out the number but what appeared to happen was the accidental sharing of Jake Arrieta's phone number with the world. Britton intended to send Jake a direct message...but forgot the "D". This is not new...comedian Joe Rogan accidentally tweeted his number to all his followers once.
Then came this:
Covering for a mistake or savviest Tweeter ever? Britton's only been on Twitter for 8 days. If it was a prank, that's a quick learning curve. Just like his big league pitching.
But 512 is a Texas area code. And Arrieta is from Texas. Oops.

The Cain Mutiny
If its racist to disagree with President Obama, isn't racist to disagree with Herm Cain?
DIY ideas for Gucci tassel belt
Gucci tassel belt is one of the most sought after accessory of the season.
To copy the look you can just knot a curtain rope with tassels over a waist belt but if you're feeling crafty and want to own a belt like this one follow me.
This belt doesn't have any buckle and it's fastened with a rope that goes through loops and it's knotted on the front.
If we start with a regular belt we have to add loops to it.
Here's a couple of ways to make them starting from the easier.
now we have to make a tassel with a piece of leather
you just have to take a rectangular piece of leather or suede and slice it almost till the top and then fold it and glue it around the rope end.
These are some ideas on how to make this belt.
I'll make a step by step tutorial in the next few days, i just have to find a nice gold belt! :)
If you find this too complicated just go to the nearer H&M and get the belt below for £7.99,click here to see the item details.
4 Round Knockout

I confess. I am an unrepentant draftnik. This year I even caught a break with the royal wedding. The wife, who typically harrumphs and complains about the family room being turned into a draft war room, went frolicking down the street Friday at 4AM to a neighbor's, in her pajamas and tiara, to celebrate the nuptials of William and Kate. Kind of hard to make the case about the questionable worth of the NFL draft when you're wrapped up in the nuances of royal wedding dresses and Anglo hat fashion.
But I diverge. If there's anything that can get me over my enjoyment of the draft, it's the Eagles' attitude and picks. Only halfway through the 4th round and already I am so sick and tired of these guys, who can't win the big game, telling us how they're the smartest guys in the league.
Does it really make sense to draft a 27 year-old rookie lineman, Danny Watkins, when the team's longstanding practice is to not re-sign any player over 30? I get it that he's a hard-nosed, blue collar sort, but what's a matter with getting an impact player with your first pick? An offensive guard has to be cohesive with the rest of the line. By design, he can't be an impact player.
Meanwhile, a big, strong, fast cornerback is sitting there, just waiting to line up opposite Asante. But no, he had an underage drinking violation two years ago and the Gold Standard Eagles don't select guys with "character issues", whatever that has to do with winning. Actually though, as soon as we saw Jimmy Smith sitting on his couch next to Drew Rosenthal, we knew the Eagles weren't picking him. Not that Jeffrey and Joe hold a grudge or anything.
Second round, it's more of the same. Despite a defense that's too small and too lacking in playmakers, the Eagles take a safety out of Temple, Jaiquawn Jarrett, who isn't even 200 lbs. I'm just as happy as the next guy to see a local kid make good, but come on. Andy wants to sell on us on a guy who will line up as the smallest safety in the NFC East as a "Big Hitter". And just to throw some salt in the wound, he ran a pedestrian 4.65 in the 40, not the speed that could compensate for an undersized safety.
In the meantime, the rival Giants got an impact corner in the first round and a beast of a defensive tackle in the second round, despite his "character issues". I know I'll feel better when the Giants are kicking our butts next year, that our team has more Boy Scouts than they do.
But not to worry. In the third round, the Eagles struck gold...NOT. Despite still working the draft's earlier rounds, the hometown brain trust decided it was a good time to trade down and pick a project. The kid, Curtis Marsh, has NFL bloodlines and potential, but who in their right mind thinks our present cast of cornerbacks is good enough now? How does a project in the third round, for a team that has so many needs, demonstrate Super Bowl commitment?
Maybe the Eagles are just sleeping through this draft. They've got so much money under the cap that they're just going to go out and buy whatever they need on the free agent market. After all, Jeffrey Lurie can only make so many liberal documentaries.
This just in...Eagles trade back in the fourth round to pick (drum roll please) another small and slow defensive player. That's it, I'm done. I'm just giving in and going to watch royal wedding videos.

Crazy U, Crazy Me
Andrew Ferguson explains Crazy U, his informative and humorous book about getting his son into college. I bought the book as a birthday present for my brother. He's got one more kid to put through school. I'm hoping he lend it back to me when he is done with it.

Yay! The Royal Wedding Of Prince William & Kate Middleton | The Trends that I see coming a mile away!
SO, where you as overwhelmed with the Royal wedding as I was? Did you wake up early to watch it? I did, I know, I'm a nerd. I loved how the sermon began by saying, "Every wedding is a royal wedding.." LOVE that. See ladies, that means you, every bride and groom are just as special when it comes to taking their sacred vows.
I also loved how nervous Prince William and Kate were! The nervous smiles were so cute! Kate looked so sweet and I could tell as they said their "I do's" that they were just like every other couple standing in front of what seems like a ton of people and trying to gather their composure and not look too nervous as they spoke and said their vows to each other. Kate had such a sweet voice and Prince William's eyes reminded me of Princess Diana as he looked at her in comfort. LOVED it, almost cried, really. Did you guys get emotional too? And when the ring, that was a classic gold band taken from traditional Welch gold, (yea I know) didn't slide smoothly in, I got nervous for them too. Did you see that? But all weddings have hiccups right?
I just was just as excited to see both Prince William and Kate now Dutch and Dutches of Cambridge, come out on the balcony to see how many people have gathered outside just to sneak a peak at the "kiss". The first kiss, was so quick, like less than a second quick! Of course, the nerves and the pressure must have gotten to them. Can you imagine all those people just waiting to see you kiss!? Not sure how I would handle that myself ;) But the second royal kiss was so perfect! What do you think?
At the end I loved it, I'm glad that classic royal elegance is back. Classic shapes and 50's glam is back with a huge inspiration coming from Grace Kelly and her wedding dress. I think they looked just like a fairy tale, and I hope nothing but the best, for them. I'm sure, just like all couples, they are going to go through their rough patches, but hope they will carry through. Will definitely bring some hope. If they made it through all the planning, that should give them hope ;) Just like I'm sure some of you ladies are going through hell, it's fun planning sometimes but, believe me, I KNOW, it's hell other times. Which reminds me, we should definitely, do a post of all your emails and questions for advice that you send me. Questions like, "What should I do if one of my bridesmaids is driving me crazy!?" Or, "help my mother-in-law is crazy!" It will be nice to vent and give each other advice. What do you think? Have any craziness happening? Email me. And I'll do a post soon.
Well, back to the royal wedding. Lets recap the trends I'm seeing.
1. Lace- always so classic and timeless.
2. Sleeves, finally! I know, some of you are like, what? But it actually is so flattering and slimming, a friend, really. What do you think?
3. 50's Glam, so chic! Think Grace Kelly.
4. Jewel tones. Think Ruby reds, Sapphire blues. Mixed with of course, gold!
5. Coverlets or shrugs in transparent fabrics like lace or sheers.
6. Ivories and soft whites in dresses other than the bride?
What do you think of Kate Middleton's sister, Pippa's, dress? I like that it was just her, it was elegant and brought such a light and fresh feel to the wedding. And she went so beautifully with the flower girls.
7. Lots and lots of little flower girls! :) They are so cute with their ivory dresses and sand color sashes!
I love how the scalloped bottoms had a lace detail to match Kate's wedding dress
8. Understated and more romantic bouquets. Let's the bride shine and not be over powered by a huge amount of flowers blocking her pretty dress and silhouette. According to the royal press release, "The bouquet is a shield-shaped wired bouquet of myrtle, lily-of-the-valley, sweet William and hyacinth. The bouquet was designed by Shane Connolly and draws on the traditions of flowers of significance for the Royal Family, the Middleton family and on the Language of Flowers."Thoughts?
9. Pastels! I love pastels already but now even more so! Did you check out the Queen herself? In a beautiful sunny yellow, so lovely! And the Mother of the Bride was just perfect in her robins bird blue!
10. And of course, hats and fasteners! There where so many to see! Such a pretty one worn by the fab Victoria Beckham. What do you think about her frocks? I loved it, she looks fab, even when she's preggo. uhumm and did you notice David? I thought so, lol!
And then there were the NO! WHY!? Would you do that?! Really? Thoughts?
Ok back to the trends.
11. Classic cream and white cakes with monograms! I know always a monogram, but, it's the only time that you can sport one without looking silly. The beautiful royal wedding cake for the royal couple was created by Fiona Cairns, and designed using the Joseph Lambert technique.
12. A hot vintage car ride! Did you see the Aston Martin Prince William drove with! Loved that! What do you think of it? He was able to borrow his dad's vintage!
So over all, LOVED it! What did you guys think of it all? Where you obsessed like me?

DIY wardrobe book
Some days we just stand in front of our wardrobe wondering what to wear and if someone asks we dramatically say:"i've got nothing to wear"!
All this happens because we're not organized and we have to put together a well matched outfit in minutes. But all this is over,we can now make at home an outfit chooser! A little book with shoots of us wearing our wardrobe and match clothes and accessories just turning the pages!
All we need is a camera, our wardrobe and a printer. Cool isn't it?
It looks fun to make too!

Kate Middleton's Wedding Dress | Now Princess Catherine and the inspiration behind it
Finally we got to see the beautiful wedding dress that Kate Middleton wore! Designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, Catherine's wedding dress was beautifully inspired by the classic 50's glam with a nod to Grace Kelly. It's that classic royal elegance found in fairy tales like Disney's "Cinderella" This is going to be huge!
It's a throw back to traditional but so elegant. Love it! The satin dress was fitted at the top on a classic ball gown with hand cut lace on the skirt. Catherine wore a long sleeved lace coverlet with an oh so lovely and sheer veil. The chose to wear the Queen Elizabeth's II tiara that was designed for her by Cartier, a beautiful halo that is lent to her by the now Queen.
Catherine wore diamond tear drop earrings, a gift from her parents.
Love it! Stay tuned for more trends inspired by the royal wedding.

Guest Blogging for MASN.com: Derrek Lee
A little late with this link but a quick link to a post I did on MASNSports.com about Derrek Lee's batted ball peripherals and such. Over the last two nights, we've started to see some of his hits drop in for him.
David Tutera's Royal Tea Party and his new Jewelry Collection with Sears
I was privileged to attend a bridal editors private lunch hosted by David Tutera (LOVE) to showcase his new bridal jewelry collection that he launched with Sears. It was appropriately themed as a Royal Tea party, considering the timing. It was so lovely!
We lucked out with such warm dry weather. The lunch included different tea selections, scones and mini sandwiches. So cute! We then were able to view the amazing diamond jewelry collections as they were so beautifully displayed on glass cases and pretty blue boxes.
Equipped with only my iphone I was able to capture some of the lovliness. Thank goodness I also have pro picts of the collections! See below ;)
I just love the watches, they are so pretty and would make a nice accessory for the wedding day. I think the watch is going to be the new cuff or bracelet.
The bridal engagement ring collection has a vintage yet modern feel. With collection names such as Heirloom, Radiance, Eternal and Legacy. There is a chance for every bride to be to pick her own personal style engagement ring and have David with her every step of the way, so to speak. The quality is great and you can even order your own David Tutera Certificate of Authenticity.
I love how all the diamond rings have "Something Blue" on the inside bands. David wanted to include a real blue sapphire in each ring to add to the brides special day. Love that!
