Today I wanted to share a closer look at Lela New York's Luxury Invitations that we featured last week on our Purple Inspiration board. The New York invitation designer created these luxe pieces using a die-cut envelope that included a purple lining and a book style invite inside. The outside cover of the invite was blind debossed and had a luxe purple belly band surrounding it that was foil stamped in gold with the bride and groom's monogram.
The inside of the book style invite contained the invitation on the right and a pocket on the left to hold the couple's extra cards. Lela used a combination of letterpress and foil stamping to print the custom invitation and information cards. The result was a beautifully elegant introduction to their big day!

My New York Luxury Wedding Invitations | Yay! picts to share from my Long Beach, New York Beach Wedding
Hi Everyone! So I've been wanting to share these wedding pictures of my luxury wedding invitations for so long now! And I finally got the picts to share with all of you.
My custom invitations, designed of course by Lela New York, were designed in a story book style to share with our guests the story of how we met and how we fell in love and said I do at the beach. Our boxed invitations have a beautiful linen fabric cover and gold embroidery on the front. The first page was printed in a gorgeous gold foil on a pale blush paper and the inside pages were printed to tell our love story and contained our engagement pictures. I love the cute map of Long Beach that I made for the end papers of the invitation book. The RSVP sets were also printed in a blush pink paper and gold printed to make them shine!
I was so excited to get the cute RSVP responses from my guests as they replied by saying how much they loved them!
I hope you love them as much as I do!

Hi, this is Lela, from The Lela New York Wedding Blog, guest blogging today for Perfect Bound. I thought it would be fun to share how our luxury wedding invitations are inspired by today’s wedding dresses and latest trends.
One of the big trends right now are the use of crystal belts to adorn the beautiful silk wedding dresses. I just love these Badgley Mischka’s crystal wedding belts! Lela New York took this hot trend and used it to style this wedding invitation in silk fabric and adorned it with a mini crystal belt.
A color trend we are still seeing a lot of is purple. But now in more of a sophisticated muted eggplant which is reflected in the two toned eggplant silks. We then added one more trend, lace. You see it everywhere in dresses. It adds a bit of a delicate, feminine touch to the invitation look.
When designing your invitations and stationery consider looking at your wedding fashion to lead the way. You’ll then be sure to make your introduction to the big day a memorable one.

Anatomy of The Modern Invite by New York Luxury Wedding Invitation designer Lela New York
With wedding invitations containing enclosures, reception cards, outer envelopes, inner envelopes, accommodation cards, and so much more, what should a bride choose for her modern invitation sets? Well here is Lela New York Invitation and Stationery Studio to the rescue with your guide to help you choose what is right for you. All Luxury Invitations shown are designed by Lela New York.
The Invite: This is the formal invitation to your big day! It should include the host the bride and groom, location, date, time and dress attire.
Belly Band: This is the paper detail that wraps around your invitation and other enclosures and holds everything neatly in place.
The Outer Envelope & Inner Envelope: This envelope holds your invitation and other enclosures. It has the bride's or host's return address printed on the flap. You now, may also have a more modern mailer box as well. Now a days, most brides do not use an inner envelope. Instead they choose a more modern approach and choose a decorative envelope, fabric book, box or other fabric envelope to hold their invitations.
The Reception Card: Use this card when your ceremony location is different than your reception. This card invites your guests to your reception.
Response Card or RSVP: This is the card your guests will send back with their reply. RSVP is a french abbreviation for Répondez si'l vous plaît. Which means, Please Reply.
The Response Card Envelope: This envelope has the bride or host's printed address in the front. It is where your guest's place the RSVP to mail back to you with their reply.
Other enclosures: Direction Cards, Accommodation Cards, Maps, and Itinerary Cards. These cards depend on your wedding situation. Are you having a destination wedding? If yes, it is highly recommended to use an accommodation card where you list your local hotels where your guests can stay.
Calligraphy: This is your guest's addresses. They are printed on the front of the outer envelope or in some cases your outer mailer box.

Lela LOVES NYC wedding invitations created with a Brooklyn Bride in mind
Lela New York created these luxury modern Brooklyn wedding invitations for a couple being married in the Brooklyn Botanical Garden's The Palm House. With a venue like that, you know the invitations had to be special enough to reflect the couples big day. Lela used botanical inspiration along with art nouveau design to create their hand drawn custom wedding invitation. They also wanted to add a bit of a twist and a bit of fun so we added a saying like, "see ya in Brooklyn" on the RSVP's and hand drew the Brooklyn Bridge to go with their location and fun theme. This New York wedding invitation was finished off with a custom made decorative envelope that was lined with a beautiful scarlet red paper stock to give it that extra pop. This design was all letterpressed for that rich and luxurious feeling.Enjoy!
